Open House Brochure
So today mainly consisted of working on the brochure for the school’s open house. It took a lot longer than expected because of all the little edits we had to do and adding photos that they wanted and changing the way the writing was and making the text wrap around a map that they wanted. These types of things always end up taking about five times as long as one would think.
In PLP class though, I got my homework assignment (that consisted of getting a picture and writing a sentence that says something you like) pinned to the board at the front of the class! Mainly because no one else had done theirs yet, but still, it was gratifying.
When the brochure was finally finished I feasted on Nutella while I edited photos from our trip to Pisa. We also spent the rest of the night looking for internet, which only sort of worked. The internet at our place Meykadeh was incredibly slow and Amy couldn’t even log on, and at the Oblate Library, it didn’t even work. Upon returning home however, I was able to log on to this magical un-password-protected internet called Linksys. It was fantastic! It was super fast; faster than the Vodafone internet we are paying for. If it lasts that would be even better. But it still isn’t very secure and we don’t know when it will be available or if it will be available when we need it. But at least in the mean time of us waiting for someone to respond to our “Internet Needed” sign (which 3 people have taken a ticket with our emails on it!) Linksys will work for basic tasks like checking email and of course Facebook. It’s amazing how things work out sometimes. He really knows your needs and will take care of you no matter what.
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving… Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. Matthew 6:30-34
You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Philippians 4:19-20
Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
